Geoff's Review
Open six days a week (Closed on Mondays, except for public holidays), the Tivoli Papamoa is the second venture for Shane Jarrett and Karen Hawes, two lovely people who own the lovely Tivoli Cambridge.
Opened in late 2018, this Bay of Plenty cinema services burgeoning seaside Papamoa, which is really an extension of Tauranga/Mount Maunganui. A real growth area (the median house price in October 2018 was $690, 500), with a mixed population (new arrivals, young families, retirees).
The Tivoli Papamoa is located on the first floor of a new retail/restaurant development, with sea views from the terrace off the foyer.
It offers a mix of art house and mainstream films; with an emphasis on the latter to satisfy local preferences. Discounts for students and seniors, with Cheap Tuesdays and Senior Morning Tea specials.
