Geoff's Review
Established five years ago, this interesting venture offers a destination for film-lovers in the Bay of Plenty.  Screening in a purpose-built, old-style cinema which is a feature of The Historic Village in central Tauranga, the Cult Cinema Club provides monthly screenings (sometimes twice a month) of cult/art house/indie/classic films.  In recent months, for example, they have screened Frida, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Citizen Kane and Vai.   Season Five runs Jan-July 2020.
The film selection reflects the 18+ entry requirement.
Pre-screening events  (street food, music, pop-up bar) begin at 5.30pm, with the films beginning at 7.30pm.  Membership is $35, which gives you reduced ticket prices and free popcorn.
The venue can also be hired for a Sonic Cinema experience, with sympathetic lighting and lowered audo.
